Money questions.
Which orders carry the TrukRun fee?
Only card orders placed through your storefront. The fee is a percentage of the food subtotal after any promo, capped at $2 per order on every plan. The TrukRun fee does not apply to tips or sales tax. Processing fees may apply to the full card charge. Pay-at-window orders carry no TrukRun fee and no Stripe fee.
Who pays Stripe?
Check your Stripe account for your processing fees and payout settings. The calculator uses an estimate of 2.9% + $0.30; actual fees can differ.
When does an event pre-order get charged?
A pre-order can place a hold on the customer’s card. The card is charged when the event is confirmed. Check event and payment status before serving; a canceled order and a completed refund are different things.
What happens if my subscription payment fails?
You keep your plan for a 7-day grace period while Stripe retries. After that the truck drops to Free: the storefront and QR keep working, the paid tools pause until the card clears.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Any time from Dashboard → Billing. Moving between paid plans is prorated on the spot, up or down. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the month you already paid for, then the truck goes back to Free.
